A Night of Bold Craft at The Chancery Rosewood Where Whisky Meets Couture

Last night, London’s newest jewel, The Chancery Rosewood, opened its doors to a crowd that defined elegance. The occasion was the unveiling of Johnnie Walker’s latest creative dialogue with Olivier Rousteing, a partnership that fuses the precision of whisky-making with the drama of couture design.

Hosted by Rousteing and Dr Emma Walker, the brand’s pioneering Master Blender, the evening unfolded like a story in two acts: an intimate culinary performance followed by a glittering celebration that pulsed deep into the night. Guests first gathered inside Tobi Masa, the soon-to-debut London restaurant from legendary chef Masa Takayama. Known for his meticulous Japanese artistry, Chef Masa offered a preview of what’s to come, a sequence of dishes that balanced restraint and extravagance in perfect measure. Together, Chef Masa and Thuizat crafted a tasting experience alongside the whiskey where each pour revealed a new facet of The Couture Blend’s character.

As the final toast echoed, guests ascended to the Eagle Bar, a sleek, modernist space within The Chancery Rosewood. There, the tone shifted from reflection to revelry. Glasses of Johnnie Walker Blue Label cocktails circulated among a guestlist spanning fashion and music, from Jourdan Dunn and Pom Klementieff to Obongjayar and Gunna.

Behind the decks was Honey Dijon, commanded the room with an electrifying, genre-bending set, joined by NTS favourites Hasani, Lagoon, and OK Williams, who each brought their distinct energy to the dancefloor.

The night was about creative alignment. The collaboration between Johnnie Walker and Rousteing continues to challenge conventions, introducing The Couture Blend, a meticulously balanced whisky limited to only a select few, and The Couture Flask, a striking metallic vessel designed as both accessory and statement piece. Together, they stand as a testament to the idea that mastery, whether in fabric or flavour, is born from fearless experimentation.

As the lights dimmed over The Chancery Rosewood, one truth lingered, the launchwas a new chapter in the art of taste and tailoring with both Johnnie Walker and Olivier Rousteing at the forfront.“My work with Johnnie Walker Vault is about breaking boundaries, between couture and whisky, tradition and reinvention,” said Olivier Rousteing. “I am so grateful to everyone who joined us tonight at The Chancery Rosewood. The energy, the creativity, the coming together of fashion, gastronomy, music and whisky, it all perfectly mirrored the spirit of our collaboration.”

As Rousteing’s words suggest, the project expands the language of craftsmanship itself.

For those eager to step inside this world, The Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique at Harrods offers a rare opportunity. Open until 25 October 2025, the three-week pop-up invites visitors into an immersive space dedicated to exploration with expert-led tastings, intimate masterclasses, and bespoke customisation experiences.
