Yeat and EsDeeKid Turn the Bose Speakers Up on “Made It On Our Own”

After setting Los Angeles alight with a surprise appearance at EsDeeKid’s sold out debut show, Yeat has officially joined forces with the Liverpool riser EsDeeKid for their long awaited collaboration, “Made It On Our Own.” The track feels like a statement moment for two artists redefining their respective corners of rap.

Produced by Lucid alongside Mathaius Young, a signee of BNYX, the record captures the collision of two regional powerhouses. Yeat’s galactic, bass heavy rage rap energy crashes seamlessly into EsDeeKid’s unapologetic scouse cadence, creating a transatlantic anthem rooted in self belief. The title says it all: this is music forged through independence and hunger. The pair lean into them their personal strengths turning contrast into unexpected chemistry.

The accompanying visual, directed by the legendary Director X, raises the stakes even further. Shot inside The Embassy, aka the Toronto home of Drake, the video carries an air of triumph and arrival. Cameos from quarterback Caleb Williams and creative powerhouse Cole Bennett add to the moment, reinforcing the sense of self made energy that underpins the track’s message. It is a visual that mirrors the song’s ethos: elevation earned, not given.

For Yeat, the single lands amid the rollout for his forthcoming album ADL (A Dangerous Lyfe). The campaign has already blurred the line between music and spectacle. In New York City, passersby were confronted with a guerrilla style stunt inspired by The Sopranos, Yeat’s arm hanging out of a taxi trunk, paired with a bumper sticker reading “LYFE IS DANGEROUS.” It is bold, theatrical and slightly unsettling, much like his sound. With “Made It On Our Own,” Yeat and EsDeeKid prove that the future of rap is not confined by geography. It is built by artists who carve their own lanes and then expand them.
