Tottenham born artist One Acen returns with his third single of the year, ‘Parlé’ featuring Dré Six.
The official video, which is exclusively out on GRM daily, features the 6ixxers crew and Acen bopping around London’s Docks. There’s a certain contagious energy about Acen’s tracks and this latest record continues the legacy with catchy instrumentals and dynamic visuals.
One Acen has been consistently putting out a project every year since 2006. He finally found his footing and gained traction in 2017 with ‘Rolling’, then with last years ‘Vice Versa’ (ft. WSTRN) and most popular of all ‘Best Life’ with Hardy Caprio. One Acen has already released two songs earlier this year, 'Fugazi’ in October, and ‘Nigeria’ in July featuring CallMeTheKidd. ‘Nigeria’ was released next to a mesmerising music video, which was an ode to his own Nigerian heritage. Earlier in the year, he hinted at a new project coming out at some point in 2020 so it looks as though this could be a teaser for some upcoming work.
Dré Six (part of 6ixxers crew) matches the energy of the song and is an ideal collaboration. Having only started putting out music this year it seems Dré is set to make a name for himself. He made his debut on YouTube with immensely underrated single ‘Rolling Loud’ on the 20th of September, and we highly recommend you check it out.
Acen’s style draws inspiration from genres such as R&B, hip hop and afrobeat. This diversity in influences has served him well as he broke onto the UK grime and hip hop scene. With chart-worthy hooks and energetic production he has shown that his musicality comes with ease. It is for this reason Acen has been able to stay independent and remain aware of the importance of remaining humble at all times.
