Nigerian rapper ODUMODUBLVCK shares the music video of his latest single ‘PITY THIS BOY’ featuring fellow Nigerian artiste Victony. This release also marked the third official music video off his latest album THE MACHINE IS COMING.

The critically acclaimed hit reflects on the reality of the modern-day dating pool unconventionally, as ODUMODUBLVCK vents about the financial strain he's under as everybody around him turns to him to sort their bills.

These dependents include his parents, grandmother, street thugs, and, of utmost importance to him, his girlfriend whom he refers to as “my shima”.

The accompanying music video is written and directed by THE ALIEN. The process begins by ODUMODUBLVCK plugging a pair of wires into both sides of his temple. A screen is shown, displaying the track list of THE MACHINE IS COMING and ‘PITY THIS BOY’ is selected on the screen.

Still on the screen, a room appears where ODUMODUBLVCK wears a white overall laboratory coat alongside another laboratory scientist. A female human-looking robot lies lifeless on the operating table as the scientist, ODUMODUBLVCK, inputs some data into the computer on the other side of the laboratory. The robot comes alive, and the scientist rejoices with his colleague.

ODUMODUBLVCK goes on to further mention on the track, that upon trying his best to satisfy all parties involved and placing her at the top access to his pockets, his girlfriend refuses to be considerate. He wishes to be a visitor, but feels as if he has overstayed his welcome.

The first time that he has worked with Victony, the latter comes in on the second verse to add that he has a girlfriend abroad whom he regularly sends dollars to. He proceeds to mention that attractive ladies back home, in Nigeria, him are teaming up to request designer products and sponsored international trips from him. He sees himself living the fast life to Solomon Grundy, and adds playfully that he’s so generous that the ladies call him Santa.

‘PITY THIS BOY’ was unveiled on February 7, 2025, as a peek into his then-forthcoming album THE MACHINE IS COMING. On March 31 of the same year, THE MACHINE IS COMING dropped, with ‘PITY THIS BOY’ being the fourth track on the 16-song album.
