Clipse And Jerry Lorenzo Feature In Latest Spotify ‘Countdown To’ Episode Discussing 'Let God Sort Em Out'

Spotify’s pioneering visual series Countdown To has delivers a compelling new instalment, this time sitting down with the influential hip-hop pairing Clipse, brothers Pusha T and Malice alongside acclaimed designer Jerry Lorenzo.

Nearly sixteen years on from their last record, Clipse have reunited to craft Let God Sort Em Out, a project they openly call a blessing that almost never came to be. The pair took up residence inside Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters to lay down the album, an environment heavy with expectation, artistry and legacy with the Executive producer of the album Pharrell at the Helm. The outcome is set to be as sharp and unfiltered as the brothers themselves promise urgent, honest and meticulously production on the project.

Filmed at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, the episode delves into far more than beats and bars. Pusha T, Malice and Lorenzo, Founder of Fear Of God, speak candidly about brotherhood, faith, the paths that led them apart and back together, and the creative spark that blurs the lines between rap and high fashion. For Clipse, this is no ordinary return, it’s a moment of clarity forged through experience and belief.

The vodcast also offers fans an inside glimpse at what’s to come, a carefully curated tracklist that Pharrell also lends his voice to for a few verses. Heavyweight features include John Legend, Tyler the Creator, Nas, Stove God, The-Dream, Lava and a stand-out moment with Kendrick Lamar, who when asked to jump on the project insisted on adding not one, but two verses.

Lorenzo reflects on the parallels between designing a label like Fear of God and building an album with this much weight behind it, knowing your intention and refusing to settle until that vision is fully realised.

Countdown To remains Spotify’s flagship artist-led video interview series, offering listeners an intimate first look at the stories, collaborators and creative energy driving an album before it officially lands. With Let God Sort Em Out due for release on 11 July, the conversation is a timely reminder that Clipse are back, and they have something vital to say.
