California collides with Morocco for Levi’s Made & Crafted this Spring/Summer 2020. With a range of soft, neutral desert and seaside hues accented by pops of deep indigo, this California Casbah collection fuses the bohemian spirit of the two sun-soaked paradises. It’s all mixed with the street style proportions, Western accents, and high-quality materials and construction that have come to define Levi’s Made & Crafted.
“This California Casbah collection is clean and modern. We’ve been looking at our mid-century archives and referencing those more and more, and bringing in more feminine, fashion forward silhouettes. And we’re doing it with a color palette that’s all about warm terracottas and desert pinks.”
—Nicolle Arbour, Global Design Director, Levi’s Made & Crafted.
Women’s silhouettes skew oversized, with a range of high-rise, relaxed leg jeans paired with oversized, cropped Truckers. The wider leg Barrel Jean returns for Spring Summer 2020 alongside a new denim fit called The Column, a high-rise waist and a relaxed leg that’s slightly less exaggerated than the Barrel. Denim finishes include dark and stonewash indigo, as well as warm terra cottas and desert hues. Also featured: elements like hand-embroidery and metal flakes meant to replicate the look of a Moroccan wedding blanket.

An eye-catching matching set is the Palmer Overcoat with the Cinch Tab Short in Palm Jacquard. Both pieces are inspired by the Flora of Morocco and California through the tropical plant, the Palm. Shape-wise, the season is about femininity and playing with proportion.
