McQueen Returns Home to London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027

McQueen is set to return to the official London Fashion Week schedule for Spring/Summer 2027, marking a significant homecoming for one of Britain's most influential luxury fashion houses. The brand announced that it will stage its runway show on Sunday, 20 September, bringing both womenswear and menswear back to the city where founder Lee Alexander McQueen established the label in 1992 and learned the art of the trade.

The presentation will be particularly notable - it marks Creative Director Seán McGirr's first London show since taking the helm of the House. 

"London has always been at the heart of McQueen," said McGirr. "There's a uniquely visceral energy to the city that runs throughout the house's history and continues to inspire everything we do today."

He added that returning to London Fashion Week would give the brand free reign to reconnect more closely with the city's creative community while continuing its exploration of the House’s original heritage.

Chief Executive Officer Gianfranco D'Attis described the decision as a "meaningful moment" for the brand, emphasising London's central role in McQueen's identity and reaffirming the company's support for both the British Fashion Council and the city's wider creative industries.

The announcement has also been welcomed by the British Fashion Council, which has sought to strengthen London Fashion Week's position amid increasing competition from the industry's larger fashion capitals.

Laura Weir, Chief Executive Officer of the British Fashion Council, called McQueen's return a landmark moment for British fashion, noting the house's enduring influence on the global industry. She described the move as a vote of confidence in British creativity and welcomed the brand back to the official schedule.
