Ledbyher Pushes Further Into the Unknown With 'Dirty Rumours'

Following a sold-out UK headline tour and the release of her mixtape The Elephant, Ledbyher returns with “Dirty Rumours”, a release that pushes her sound into more disorienting territory. The track is produced by Clams Casino alongside Tony Seltzer and Otxhello, bringing together fractured drum patterns, submerged textures and a sense of space that constantly shifts under pressure. Her “lady trap” foundation meets nu-wave jerk and alt-R&B instincts, expanding into something more abstract and physically affecting.

The visuals lean into unease and fragmentation. Inside a cavernous, dimly lit house, Ledbyher moves through a world populated by masked figures that appear in sudden bursts of motion, closing in, retreating, then returning again. The imagery carries a dislocated energy, capturing the psychological strain that comes with visibility and rapid ascent. The editing and lighting push the narrative into darker, almost horror-coded territory, matching the sonic instability of the track.

Creative references behind the record speak to the way Ledbyher builds her world. She has spoken about Clams Casino’s Instrumental Relics shaping her approach to sound design, particularly the use of environmental texture as emotional structure. Sessions with Tony Seltzer in London opened up further connections across underground scenes, feeding into a broader network of influence that includes MIKE, Ethel Cain and experimental visual language. These references converge in the world of “Dirty Rumours”, where sound and image operate as one continuous system.

Ledbyher, born Rachel Diack, moves across roles as rapper, producer, singer-songwriter, poet and director. The Scottish-Indonesian artist has built a self-directed practice that sits within the UK underground while constantly pushing beyond its limits. The Elephant positioned her at the centre of that space, Dirty Rumours continues that trajectory with more intensity and a wider frame of reference for where her work can go next.
