Lagos-based Noir completes a prolific year with ‘Desperado’; a slice of late-night R&B.
Produced by Walahi Steph, the track builds on establishing Noir’s futuristic fusion of R&B, pop,
electronica and afrobeats. The track sees Noir finding himself in a familiar place with an on-off
lover who he’s been keeping at arms length in order to protect his feelings.
The track comes accompanied by a beautifully moody video directed by uax (Rema, Tomi
Thomas) and follows visuals for ‘Down For It’ and ‘Comfortable’, all of which introduce listeners to
Noir’s surreal cinematic aesthetic.
‘Desperado’ drops at the end of a prolific 2020 for the rising star, with a strong of well received
singles that have been supported by the likes of Native and Guap Mag.
In the Summer Noir released his debut EP, Up At 5, which included the singles ‘Down for It’ and
‘Comfortable’.
After establishing a solid foundation throughout this difficult year, Noir is one to watch as we move
into 2021.
