House of Pharaohs are a homegrown collective. Made up from a group of friends, some of whom have known each other since school - Kevin Taylor, Danny Stern, Bandana, Blaze YL, Sam Wise and AJ. The collective offers something unique and different to the UK Scene. Although locality plays somewhat of a role in their music and lyrics, each person within the group brings something different to the table. Each member is a creative in their own individual ways.
The group sat down with frequent visual collaborators Allegorical for an interview detailing the concepts and production of the project.
House of Pharaohs isn’t primarily based around music, but also touches in fields such as fashion, design, film and more. The boys have released a short documentary which further explains the collective, culture, music and each member’s creative talent. From earning credits from previous projects, House of Pharaohs have become the ones to watch and have been praised by the likes of Frank Ocean.
The UK Hip-Hop/Rap collective from South London have recently released there latest offering Seasons EP. The project was exclusively produced by no other than Nyge. Nyge is one of the most prominent producers in the UK scene and has put his own spin on what was already a hard hitting sound. Prior to releasing the full project, they released the first single from the project named Magic City which gave us a taster of what was set to come. Magic City has more of a club feel to it, a track made for the night riders cruising through the city and the visuals correlate perfectly with this concept. Keep the Telly On is another notable track on the project which offers a solid production bound to make your head bop alongside catchy verses from each rapper. Overall, the project is definitely one to take in. HOP have yet again proved their versatility and creativity throughout this project.
You can catch House of Pharaohs on tour in a city near you later this year - make sure you don’t miss out on whats about to be a movie!
