Combining the Deveaux brand identity with minimalistic styling takes the lead this season in Deveaux’s womenswear AW22 collection. Both New York-based co-founders Tommy Ton and Andrea Taso seek a new and fresh arrangement for their essential wardrobe staples.
They both felt it was a defining moment to introduce an array of up-to-date qualities and shapes in this selection that compliments their A/W22 collection.
The duo dominates their looks by exhibiting practical, functional, wearable structures to create a wanderlust experience for their womenswear audience and expose the style of a daring nomadic travel adventurer who is ready mission to inspire in their everyday style.
Presenting a collection of highlights that brings the attention of feminine versus masculine within the selection, the wearable shapes consist of high quality, everyday modern looks combined with solid shades of neutral colours matched with deep jewel tones to enhance the styles perfectly.
Call attention to extensive looks and shapes like elevated romantic silhouettes paired with detailed pin tucks. However, long masculine coats create volume and add a mix to the collection with the corset look-alike detail. The models wear skirts with an underlay trouser piece that draws us into a modern-day androgynous aesthetic, focusing on the distinctive statement pieces flowing throughout the collection.
“That’s why I think this idea of a female frontierswoman is so interesting. It is this idea that even when we are doing so much, always on the go, expected to do everything– we are still balancing the masculine with the feminine – the long skirts, boots, men’s outerwear, a shawl sweater, explains Andrea Taso, Co-Founder of Deveaux New York.
Defined detailing streamlined throughout Deveaux's selection of wardrobe staples. Exposed in tuxedo cotton skirts with pleat features, overemphasized volumes of styles paired with cropped trousers. Uplifted prairie-like dresses offer details of pleats on the waist and shoulders, applying the plisse-effect in eye-catching dresses, camisole and let us not forget the engaging midi skirts with the refined finish to the pieces.
Keeping the flow of the brand aligned is prominent in Deveaux’s ethos. To produce functional classic modern shapes that gives a clear direction to everyday styling. Adopting simple cuts and minimalist shapes can be a solid message to embrace a new position for minimalistic wear among silhouettes brand new for Deveaux woman's wardrobe.
