Stella McCartney’s debut for Chloé in 1997 was crafted in collaboration with star tailor Edward Sexton. Once his apprentice and tailor to McCartney’s father, Sexton brought a status of artistry often in short supply - he dressed a myriad of celebrity icons including The Beatles, who wore his and his business partner Tommy Nutter's suits on the cover of Abbey Road. Now, the tailor makes a posthumous return in the form of Chloé's latest collection for Spring 2027, a callback to their 1990s epoch wherein classical fashioning met the House's feminine codes.

Three-pieces, riding coats, and jackets, oh my! This latest Chloé closet is a must for the vestural venturer, with cropped wool riding coats and pinstripes for the more feminine dandy - mélange wool and flowing satin bolster the collection, hourglass jackets placed alongside Chloé's classic nuanced garment dyed lingerie pieces. The silhouttes are airy and romantic, inviting movement and a neutral colour palette - monochrome isn't entirely hung out to dry, though, accentuating lace galons and all the trimmings for that all-important definition.

Chloé possesses an unparralled understanding of the feminine form and, coupled with photography by Brianna Capozzi, builds an airy atmosphere fit for the new collection, and you'd expect nothing less when the framework stems from Deborah Turbeville. Featuring muses such as Alexa Chung and Jessica Miller, alluring sensuality and softer refinement create a filter through which the House's codes are thoroughly represented.
