anaiis has returned with a new body of work titled Devotion and The Black Divine. Central to the album is the theme of motherhood. The result is music that soothes and unsettles in equal measure, filled with moments that affirm self love and others that stretch her voice into new territory.

Recorded live to tape, the project carries a sense of immediacy and honesty. It is less about perfection and more about capturing the movements of intuition and change as they happen. Working alongside her partner Tayo Rapoport and collaborators including Ronan McKenzie, she builds visual worlds that balance the real and the surreal. The video for “Moonlight” was created in a red quarry in Jamaica, a site that once bore the scars of excavation. Now showing signs of renewal, the landscape becomes a powerful metaphor for healing and regeneration.

Across the album the true subject is emotion itself. The songs trace the way feelings shift and bend over time, like a tree adjusting to the environment around it.
