A Yuzefi Cabaret...The R23 Collection Razzle Dazzles

Yuzefi...the brand that juggles louche with edge and a glass of cold gin presented its Resort 23 collection at London Fashion Week last weekend. A bohemian makeover, the collection is a gateway to the undetermined space between beauty and imperfection, and the collection evokes an aesthetic of organic candor with brash contretemps. Imagine slinky gowns mercilessly sliced on the bias with figure hugging fabrics that are imbued with the gregariousness of a hard to find sepakeasy.

Garments with plunging decolletage were tempered with more modest necklines and are in tandem with the divergence of the retro tableau. A base palette of concrete, steel and rust is contrasted with coral, pistacchio and anemone injecting a sense of fun while downcasting the seriousness of the visage. Creative Director Naza Yousefi founded her brand in 2016, and has since been experimenting with looks that radiate a reconstructed chic employed with niether frill nor fuss. Delectable leather satchels and minaudieres appear as winegums accentuating the mix n match paraphenalia of the wardrobe...while streamlined silhouettes and low cut trousers add volume to the glittering soiree. A boozy safari is clearly the destination of choice for R23.
