Westside Gunn Releases His Highly Anticipated Album 'And Then You Pray For Me'

Westside Gunn released his 'final' studio album And Then You Pray For Me today. The rapper announced on social media that this would be his last album and he'll now go on to dump more spontaneous projects under 10 tracks only.

Following up as a sequel to his 2020 album Pray For Paris, And Then You Pray For Me spans 21 tracks and features Griselda members by the likes of Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, Stove God Cooks and Rome Streets to name a few. The album also features Rick Ross, JID, Ty Dolla $ign, Denzel Curry, Boldy James and London's very own Giggs.

In just a few short years, the rise of Griselda has transformed the music landscape. It's almost astonishing to think that not that long ago, the name Westside Gunn was a relative unknown and he was quietly dropping albums to a cult following that were brimming with collaborations in his distinctive Hitler Wears Hermes series. Today, the Buffalo rapper leaves an indelible mark with his music and moves in more commercial spaces such as featuring on Travis Scott's UTOPIA where he can expand the Griselda empire.

With the album art created by the late Virgil Abloh, who also designed the art for Pray For Paris, it was taken directly from Italian painter Caravaggio's The Entombment of Christ. The painting is up for display at in the Vatican City whereas the Pray For Paris original artwork David with the Head of Goliath, is up for display in both Rome and Vienna.
