The Blues Kitchen Announce Spring Programme Including Samm Henshaw, Oscar Jerome & Talib Kweli

The Blues Kitchen have announced that its Manchester venue will present British musician Sam Henshaw’s headline show as part of his World Tour, when he comes to the north-west city on 19 March.

Henshaw, at the start of this month, released his sophomore album, It Could Be Worse, on digital platforms, after initially doing a vinyl-only release at the end of last year.

The beloved music venue has also shared the rest of its seasonal spring programme for the year, which will be taking place upstairs in its Concert Hall.

Consisting of a mix of compensatory artists, both local and international, underground voices and newer exciting artists, there will be a variety of genres that include jazz, soul, hip-hop and R&B.

The curator and booker behind the Spring seasonal lineup, Rhys Whitney, said: “Manchester has been built on musical crossover - scenes colliding, sounds evolving, and nothing staying in one lane.

"This lineup reflects that energy, bringing together pioneers, innovators, and global voices across jazz, R&B, hip-hop, soul, and soundsystem culture. Hosting it at Blues Kitchen Manchester feels right, and we’re ready to keep pushing things in 2026.”

Lloyd Banks, Colin Stetson, Oscar Jerome, Talib Kweli are some of the well-known names that you can look forward to. Sol & The Gang will also be performing twice, due to popular demand.

However, there will also be special moments, such as Celebrating the Life of D’Angelo, who passed away in 2025.

And nights to dance with friends, with events like the increasingly popular Nairaa & Chill.

See the full seasonal programme below, but also via theblueskitchen.com/manchester/whats-on/ - more acts and dates to be revealed over the coming weeks.
