Chequerboard patchwork dresses at Dolce & Gabbana used archive rolls of fabrics from previous collections, while crisp layering simulated a new atmosphere of restraint at Chanel.

The New-Look Bralette

As Jennifer Lopez combined a cream bra with a butter-hued suit and a cowboy hat for the VMAs in 1998, bralettes are back with a ferocity last seen in 1998. (a look that was presumably on the Jacquemus moodboard). Whether faintly Fifties-tinged and flirty, absolutely flat and streamlined, or coated in rhinestones, catwalks and presentation brought a decidedly positive feel.
