Sienna Spiro Returns After Her Debut EP With 'Dream Police': The Inception-Inspired Single

Originally going live with the track on May 15th with a visual to please our eyes and ears on the Colors Show, Sienna Spiro has released the studio version today.

The London-based singer is continuing to climb her career ladder with unmissable moments. From music industry royalty such as SZA, Snoh Alegra and Finneas singing her praises, to touring Australia this year, Sienna’s releases are constantly being counted down to.

This new track is yet again another jaw-dropping introspective song that reaches for emotional depth and showcases Sienna’s soulful tones. The exploration of self-identity and what feels like a Stockholm syndrome melody, she describes the song as a piece inspired by the romance story in Christopher Nolan's Inception.

Opening with a haunting solo bass first verse, Sienna’s raspy voice sings over a monotone repetitive first few notes in they key of G minor. Composure and consistency is maintained leading into the first chorus with little instrumentation. Percussion quickly follows into the second verse, and the lyrics exercise that sultry sound Sienna’s songs achieve so well. There is always an element of mystery and storytelling within her music, and Dream Police serves no less than expected.

Only in the second chorus, a full orchestrated strong beat enters the track pulling you in to hear Sienna hit elongated vibrato notes that tie the electronic bass and keys together. The repetitive notes continue on piano throughout the song, help to build momentum within the final chorus’.

The electronic pop song hits a key change on the bridge, another signature style of Sienna’s music that ends with an a cappella note, leaving fans wanting the music to return and listen again.

Sienna Spiro is yet to fall release any less than a hit and with her loyal fanbase grown from viral tiktok covers, an EP and tour behind her at 19 years old, Dream Police feels like a new turn in the singer’s successful journey.

Next in her books is supporting UK phenomenon Teddy Swim's on tour and taking over Montreux Jazz Festival.

In partnership with Lacoste, the COLORs video is available to watch here: SIENNA SPIRO - Dream Police | A COLORS SHOW
