Samsøe Samsøe and GORE-TEX Join Forces Once Again for Fourth Capsule Collection

Combining iconic Copenhagen street style with more Scandinavian practicalities, Samsøe Samsøe is a brand that caters to all aspects of a wardrobe. For AW22, Samsøe Samsøe have once again teamed up with techwear heavyweights GORE-TEX for their fourth capsule collection together, and the result is fantastic. The practicality and functionality of the GORE-TEX brand paired with Samsøe’s minimalist designs have resulted in a sleek ten-piece collection (five items for women, five for men). With the gorpcore trends really not heading anywhere anytime soon, Samsøe Samsøe continuing their relationship with GORE-TEX is a smart decision, as well as a creatively rewarding one.

This fourth capsule from the two brands contains all the items one would expect. It boasts down jackets, gilets, shells, caps, mittens, fleece gloves and longer-length raincoats. All the products use GORE-TEX INFINIUM, a Windstopper fabric maintaining a windproof nature and water resistance, while making sure the item stays breathable, reducing the risk of overheating while active. INFINIUM pushes ‘comfort and performance’, which results in a high-quality technical garment while still being wearable on the daily. Creating items wearable in all elements or environments plays into Samsøe Samsøe’s commitment to sustainability, as pushed by their ‘Circularity through RE’ mantra.

Practical and functional wear is becoming centre-stage for much of the fashion industry, with mainstream surges of workwear brands becoming street style norm. The designs themselves are very minimal and sleek, coming in a colour palette of black, high rise, dark olive and starfish. The dark olive Lasse jacket is a highlight of the capsule, with its streamlined design and futuristic silhouette.
