Peaky Saku Gets Reflective On New Single 'Ketchup'

Updated: Oct 10, 2022

After a series of sporadic releases through the year, upcoming London talent Peaky Saku drops his newest track 'Ketchup' detailing his complicated relationships with crime, work and money.

Accompanied by a chilling yet vibrant music video shot and edited by Honey JD, the mellow track hears the rapper abrasively deliver verse after verse filled with gritty bars exploring dark themes through the analogy of food, specifically the title name, 'Ketchup'. With his consistent delivery, talking on real life, Peaky Saku is honest in his raps, showing a sense a vulnerability but additionally his ability to remain true to himself.

The versatility in his sound and flow is evident from song to song, from his melodic songs like 'I Need' to heavy hitters including 'On The Block It Ain't The Same View', 'Ketchup' serves as a newer sound compared to what listeners have heard before, with an old school hip-hop feel, there's a contrast between the mellow vibe production and his harsh bars, giving the single a balanced feel that sits in the middle of his usual sounds.

Setting the tone for his forthcoming project, Her Majesty’s University of Crime, Peaky Saku is on track to release more songs in the run up to the release date rumoured to drop early next year.
