Ksubi And Paper Planes Deliver A New York State Of Mind

Ksubi and Paper Planes have joined forces for a limited edition capsule that draws on New York City’s influence across fashion, music and street culture. Bringing together the Australian denim label’s rebellious approach to design and Paper Planes’ polished aesthetic, the collaboration finds common ground in a city defined by constant movement, individuality and self expression. Although the brands emerged from different backgrounds, their shared appreciation for New York provides the foundation for a collection that reflects the attitude of those who navigate the city on their own terms.

A key element of the five piece collection is Ksubi’s signature denim, reworked through Paper Planes’ visual language and its established palette of black, white and grey. The bestselling Oh G Jacket and Maxx Jeans arrive in an exclusive Iron Grey wash, giving the familiar silhouettes a darker finish that complements the capsule’s urban references. Rather than moving away from the denim that has become central to Ksubi’s identity, the collaboration builds on established designs, using colour and styling to introduce a new perspective.

The collection features a varsity jacket that acknowledges the brands’ shared connection to New York, alongside a Rugby LS Top and a Ksubi x Paper Planes 59FIFTY snapback. These pieces extend the collaboration into a wider wardrobe, drawing on the sporting references, collegiate styling and headwear traditions that have long informed the city’s streetwear scene. Each item contributes to a collection designed to be worn together or incorporated into existing wardrobes, balancing recognisable streetwear staples with the distinct identities of both labels.

The collaboration also reflects the continued importance of New York as a source of inspiration for brands operating across different corners of fashion. Its influence extends beyond the clothes themselves, encompassing the people, neighbourhoods and creative movements that have shaped its global reputation. For Ksubi and Paper Planes, the capsule translates that cultural history into a contemporary uniform, bringing together denim expertise and a distinctly New York sensibility. The result is a meeting of two brands that approach streetwear from different perspectives while sharing an appreciation for the individuality that continues to define the city.
