JW Anderson x UGG: The Loafer Gets an UGG Makeover

JW Anderson and UGG have teamed up for their first collaboration, giving two of UGG’s most recognisable styles a new look.

The collection takes the Classic Boot and Tasman and reworks them into two new designs: the Loafer Boot and the Loafer. Both feature a rounded toe and box-stitch detailing, bringing a more structured feel to UGG’s familiar shapes while keeping the comfort the brand is known for.

For Jonathan Anderson, it’s all about taking something familiar and looking at it differently. The loafer has been a recurring reference throughout his work, from footwear to bags and ready-to-wear, making this collaboration a natural extension of his design language.

The collection comes in three colourways — Chestnut, Khaki and Orange — and is designed to be worn by everyone. While the classic UGG aesthetic is still there, the loafer-inspired details give the styles a different feel, somewhere between an everyday slipper and a more polished shoe. The appeal lies in that contrast. These aren’t quite the UGGs we know, nor are they traditional loafers. They occupy a space of their own — comfortable, considered and just unexpected enough to make a familiar wardrobe staple feel new again.

It’s a simple idea, but an interesting one: what happens when UGG’s laid-back approach meets JW Anderson’s take on a classic? We’re about to find out.
