Worldwide Beef Wellington Month has arrived, and Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at The Cumberland Hotel is turning one of its most recognisable dishes into a year-long role. The London restaurant is searching for its first Chief Wellington Tasting Officer, giving one dedicated Beef Wellington fan the chance to enjoy the signature dish for free throughout the year. There is no CV, interview or conventional application process involved, just an appreciation for one of Gordon Ramsay’s most closely associated creations.

The competition puts the dish itself at the centre of the experience, asking diners to visit Hell’s Kitchen at The Cumberland Hotel, order the signature Beef Wellington and document the experience in their own way. From cinematic Reels and TikToks to witty reviews and more unexpected interpretations, the restaurant is looking for an entry that can turn a meal into a piece of content with its own personality. The format is deliberately open, leaving the creative direction to the person behind the camera.

To enter, diners need to share their submission on their personal social channels, tag @thecumberlanddining and use #HellskitchenCWTO. Entries will then be judged by the Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen London team, with creativity playing a key role in deciding who takes the title. The winning entry will secure a complimentary Beef Wellington experience for two every month for an entire year, turning a single visit into a recurring place at the table.

The campaign builds on the Beef Wellington’s long association with Gordon Ramsay, with the dish leading the menu at the newly opened Hell’s Kitchen at The Cumberland Hotel. The restaurant takes inspiration from the world of the television series, combining signature dishes with experiential details that reference the visual identity and energy of Hell’s Kitchen. Within that setting, the Wellington becomes both a menu staple and the centrepiece of a social campaign designed around the people who genuinely enjoy it.

There is also something distinctly contemporary about the way the role has been created. Instead of asking diners to simply review a restaurant or compete for a one-off prize, Hell’s Kitchen is giving its audience a reason to turn their own experience into creative work. The competition sits naturally within the way food culture now travels online, where a memorable dish can become a Reel, a TikTok, a review or a visual story within minutes of leaving the table.

Entries are open until the end of October, giving Beef Wellington fans across London time to make their visit count. The winner will become Hell’s Kitchen London’s first Chief Wellington Tasting Officer, with twelve months of Beef Wellington experiences for two ahead of them. For anyone who considers the dish worthy of that level of commitment, the job description is simple: order the Wellington, make it memorable and show the world why it deserves another visit.
