House Meets RnB In This Feel-Good Track By Karl & Ivy

As the hazy lockdown blues begins to subside and the brief summer heatwaves come to an end, what better way to keep that summer feeling going with a track featuring two new UK talents.

Providing the perfect soundtrack to warmer days spent with the people you love is East London bred, singer-songwriter Ivy and producer and rapper Karl with their new track ‘Intention’. Featuring Ivy’s sultry tone and intricately layered vocals, 'Intention’ is an immediate vibe. Despite being from different musical backgrounds and practices, both artists obtain a lyrical style that not only compliments each other but works effectively to deliver a track filled with raw loving emotions and infectious melodies.

As one half of the production/rap duo Karl+Taff, Karl’s production skills have caught the attention of a budding audience and has garnered multiple radio plays so far. This track is a testament to his unique ability to not only deliver bangers to their alternative trap audiences but to the lovers of house rnb and more. While Ivy is still fresh to the scene, since her first and latest release ‘Alone Girl’ (prod. by Since Westbrook), she has been steadily carving a name for herself in the UK music scene. Prior to it’s release, ‘Intention’ made a debut preview on BBC Radio Sussex. Both Ivy and Karl are nothing short of versatile talents as they have stepped out of their usual sounds to seek out new ways to express their artistry with a lot more in store for us in the future.

Speaking on the track, Ivy says: “The song is about loving someone in the summer, post quarantine type of vibe where the smallest things like going for a drive when it’s sunny fulfills you. It’s about that intimate bond you have that no one else understands apart from you two.”

Karl adds: “I want people to feel a good type of energy when they listen to the track. It’s different compared to what you usually hear, I’m rapping on a house track so I’m trying to show a different vibe and it’s good energy and I want people to feel a good aura when listening.”
