After making a graceful return in February, Grace Carter released her 2nd single of the year titled 'BloodWar'. The single exhibits emotional vulnerability in a way the London-born singer does so beautifully, this new single which Carter wrote when she was just 17 years old is accompanied by a heartfelt music video and explores the universality of emotions which she expresses-
“I wrote it at a time when I was really struggling with the impact of growing up with an absent parent and unanswered questions. Although I’m no longer in that space and have grown so much from those emotions this song has always been so important to me and when I listen to it, it reminds me of how far I have come! I’ve had it on my setlist for years and it’s always felt so strange that a song that has played such a huge part in my personal and artistic journey has never been released. So with my tour coming up, it felt like the right time to put it out into the world.”
As seen in February’s release of ‘Pick Your Tears Up’ there is a deep sense of healing with the lyrics Grace possesses and shares with us, her words reaffirm to listeners who may have gone through similar hardships that they aren’t alone on their journey, by opening up a fresh sound and vocals, the artist creates a duality of smooth R&B and Soul.
After already selling out her London show, Grace is set to go on her UK and European tour this June:
