Essex-Based Rapper Jordy Sees ‘Enemies’ Everywhere in His Second Single of The Year

‘Enemies’ quickly follows on from his surprise drop last week, ‘Medellin’, with the new single embodying Jordy’s trademark flow and demonstrating his dynamic lyricism rapping over a silky production.

Lyrically he displays his prowess, effortlessly discussing the highs and lows of his life both in and out of the music scene and challenging clout culture. Whilst the emotive sample, gitaur and percussion sounds encourage you to nod along, the expert-level wordplay switches between hostility and playfulness, providing an enjoyable contrast and bridging the gap between introspection, fun and crud.

The visuals, directed by Jojo Mukeza are shot with a hazy polaroid effect giving us an inviting look into the studio, better known as Jordy’s safe space as he is where he is most happy, in the studio surrounded by his family; Elt Cheekz, Jojo Mukeza, and Daniel Miles. The two just mentioned were the executive producers of “SMH” and are seen by the rapper as his big brothers and mentors, knowing them since the tender age of 7-year-old.

Speaking on the single Jordy said: “Enemies is what it says on the tin, it's a common theme throughout the upcoming project – the modern-day warfare of fake friends. The track is an insight into my outlook of having authentic people in my corner, it also captures the thoughts and challenges of new people trying to enter my space and circle.”

Over the years the rising rapper has rose to become one of the most respected voices within the thriving UK rap scene and owns the title of every ‘rappers, rapper’ due to his rare storytelling skills and ability to leave you hanging onto every single word.

Always grounded, Jordy surrounds himself with his close “council” who remain at the centre of everything he does and are both his biggest critics and also his most loyal supporters. Not being one to sit still and, in his spare time Jordy is a part of the Filthy Fellas podcast, as well making appearances in JD’s Survey Says YouTube series hosted by Savage Dan.

The talented rapper is also currently sitting on an abundance of new music that he is eager to share. He is redefining what it means to be a rapper with his infectious flows, hooks and mischievous bars which set him apart in a scene congested with viral sensations.
