END. Anniversary: 20 Years from Cobble Stone Store to Streetwear Conglomerate

The North-East born retailer celebrates 20 years in the industry this month with celebrations that will last throughout the year.



The mega retailer now with locations in Glasgow, Manchester, Milan and London was orginally born in Newcastle by Christiaan Ashworth and John Parker in 2005 with the idea of blending luxury with streetwear. As far as fashion retailers go in the North East, END. was providing its customers with something new, fresh and in need. Bringing hypebeast culture and subcultures to the forefront of Newcastle’s fashion community, the retailer continued to grow from the streets of the North East to Europe’s stylish cities. 


Highlighting the importance of British culture and the roots where the company began, this year-long programme will combine collaborations, partnerships, community moments and events with its “key brand partners to encapsulate the true expression of END.”


END. currently speaks to almost 3 million followers on Instagram whereby the community can tap into these programmes and see these events come to life. Already there have been moments earlier in the year that celebrated the established and emerging brands who have been a part of END.’s journey such as January’s ‘END. x Represent 247’ collaboration and March’s ‘END. x Salomon Emerald collaboration’.


As the go-to retailer for new sneaker releases, community events, prize draws and in-store activations, the company has always been ahead of the game. END.’s consumers know that there is a space for them within the store. Whether it is for themselves, their partner, friend or their parents, there has always been a brand that suits everyone within the retailer.


Experimenting with womenswear stores, through trial and error, END. has successfully grown and segmented themselves within the fashion industry in Europe and no doubt will exceed expectations in the next 20 years to come.
