Ego Ella May Elicits The Likes of Josette Joseph and Lex Amor For Remix of How Long Till We're Home

Ego Ella May is back with the official remix of her song 'How Long 'Til We're Home,' accompanied by a music video.

Taken from her debut album, Honey For Wounds which was released earlier this year, May elicits the help of Josette Joseph on the production, to bring forth a blend of R&B and Soul with a very British Trip Hop/Experimental edge, finished off by a verse from the wonderful Lex Amor.

The track is a nod to the experiences of young first and second generation immigrants, touching on the identity, displacement and the grief of a place one has never had. The penmanship of both May and Amor are brutally honest, observational and profound.

Ego Ella May has been nominated in the Best Jazz Act category at this year’s MOBO Awards, to be broadcast on YouTube on 9th December. ‘Honey For Wounds’ is out now on UpperRoom Records, the record label arm of actor/producer/activist John Boyega’s company UpperRoom Entertainment. You can watch the video for the remix below.
