Charlie Constantinou SS26

Season 5 unfolds like a sunrise woven in fabric, opening in graphite greys and reaching its crescendo in a gorgeous shade of electric purple. Constantinou begins with dark tones that linger like the last hour of night before guiding his palette through washed blues and turquoise, earth-tinted browns and greens; final flashes of red and that vivid purple redraw silhouettes as decisively as tailored seams. Linens and cottons fused with technical weaves give light garments unexpected weight and resilience, grounding the collection in London’s raw pulse even at its brightest moment.

In his debut season Constantinou turned technical quilting and modular outerwear into sculptural statements, the garments punctuated by fluorescent accents that felt futuristic yet fiercely functional. Seasons 2 and 3 saw that dialogue refined: brights gave way to disciplined earth tones, and detachable panels and vents expanded each piece’s adaptability. Season 4 introduced responsibly sourced textiles and tech-knits that fluttered like kinetic art, hinting at a more lyrical approach to structure.

Season 5 calls back to those material experiments even as it stakes a new claim for colour’s narrative power. Vents and zip-off panels remain integral to his modular vocabulary, now rendered in gallery-neutral greys and blues instead of day-glo. As the arc moves from mossy olive and russet brown to turquoise relief, it culminates in electric purple that pulses like the city’s heartbeat. Here, colour becomes as structural as any stitch, dictating form and emotion in equal measure.

This journey from night into day affirms Constantinou’s conviction that clothes can map time and feeling. He transforms utility into poetry and construction into communication, showing that the most persuasive stories are told in the seam allowances. Season 5 proves that to greet a new dawn is to step into it, draped not just in fabric but in the promise of colour.
