Central Cee Brings Football Culture From The Terraces To The Airwaves with Coca Cola

Football and music have always shared a language. Both are built around loyalty, identity, community and the collective energy of thousands of people moving as one. Coca Cola Zero Sugar’s latest Premier League campaign places that connection at its centre, bringing West London rapper Central Cee into the world of the game with “The Team”, an original track created for Taste Every Second. Produced by P Rallel and released through Live Yours and Coca Cola’s real thing records, the song captures the emotional extremes of supporting a club, from anticipation and anxiety to heartbreak and celebration.

Central Cee’s relationship with football makes the collaboration particularly natural. His music has become closely connected to the visual language of contemporary British youth culture, where football shirts, terraces, trainers, nightlife and rap exist within the same cultural landscape. That relationship has also been reflected through the brand activations surrounding football in recent years, as clubs, artists and global brands increasingly use the sport as a meeting point for music, fashion and community. “The Team” continues that crossover, using Central Cee’s voice to translate the emotional commitment of being a supporter into music.

The track arrives alongside Taste Every Second, a cinematic two minute film following a Premier League season from the optimism of pre season through to the intensity of the final day. Central Cee appears throughout the campaign, bringing another layer to Coca Cola’s attempt to document football through the eyes of its supporters. His own description of the connection is centred on live performance: the rush of walking onto a stage in front of a crowd carrying the same intensity as a footballer stepping onto the pitch. It is this shared energy that gives the campaign its cultural foundation.

Coca Cola is also extending the campaign beyond the screen and streaming platforms through limited edition packaging, fan prizes, custom pieces and collectibles. QR codes on selected packs will connect supporters to football related experiences, making the campaign part of the wider ritual around watching and following the game. With “The Team”, Central Cee and Coca Cola are tapping into something football has understood for generations: the soundtrack, the shirt, the chant and the gathering are all part of the experience. As football culture continues to influence music, fashion and youth culture, the boundaries between the pitch and the wider creative world become increasingly fluid.
