Cariss Auburn Makes Us 'Daydream' With Sweet New Single

Following up to her recent electrifying release of 'Float' earlier this year, Cariss Auburn returns with a candyfloss-soft escapism number with an insatiable sense of modern disco and pop. Alongside this, Auburn has announced her new project Refraction which will be coming this April 2021.

Described as her own "three minute holiday", 'Daydream' allows us to find small moments of joy within the tough times we're going through right now. Living within such a connected world, Cariss feels that she absorbs so much pain and trauma on a daily basis and especially as a black woman. "It's hard to take a break from that pain without feeling this immense guilt. But we deserve that break!” She says “it’s no fix-all but I wanted to invite everyone into my personal escapist world -80s music and reminiscing over my holiday to Japan."

Supported by PRS Foundation Women Make Music, Cariss invites us into the weird and wonderful idea of what her dreams might look like in stunning visuals that support her dream-like fantasies. She crafts this with honey-soft vocals and thoughtful lyricism which encapsulate her ideas and push her into this exciting disco-pop direction.
