ALO Frames a New Chapter With Its Debut Luxury Eyewear Collection

ALO has never been confined to activewear. Over the past decade, the Los Angeles label has cultivated a lifestyle centred on movement, mindfulness and contemporary design, building a community that extends far beyond the yoga studio. Its debut sunglasses collection continues that trajectory, introducing six handcrafted silhouettes that translate the brand's visual identity into eyewear. Designed in Los Angeles and produced by master artisans in Japan, the collection places materiality and timeless design at the forefront while expanding ALO's growing presence within the luxury fashion space.

Each frame is produced in Japan using premium Takiron acetate, a material celebrated for its depth of colour, durability and refined finish. The collection also incorporates custom palladium and gold-plated hardware across selected styles, while every frame is individually hand-polished by skilled artisans. The process prioritises human manufacturing at every stage, creating eyewear with a richness and character that machine production cannot replicate. It is an approach that echoes ALO's wider philosophy.

The six silhouettes have been designed to move effortlessly through different moments of everyday life, balancing contemporary proportions with enduring appeal. Chief Merchandise & Design Officer Abby Gordon describes the collection as an exploration of shapes that sit comfortably between trend and longevity, while maintaining an uncompromising standard of construction. The result is a concise offering that extends ALO's design language beyond apparel, positioning eyewear as another expression of the brand's lifestyle.

To introduce the collection, ALO enlisted filmmaker Bardia Zeinali to direct a campaign that explores perspective as both a visual and emotional experience. Shot in Miami with photography by Stuart Winecoff and styling from fashion legend Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, the campaign unfolds across coastlines, city streets and infinity pools, where light, movement and architecture become part of the narrative. Every frame is presented through moments that celebrate individuality, inviting the wearer to engage with the world through a different point of view.

The cast reflects the breadth of ALO's cultural reach. Lila Moss fronts the Wire Frame, bringing an effortless confidence that aligns with the silhouette's clean, contemporary aesthetic. Amelia Gray returns to the brand for the Speed frame, embodying the fast-moving energy of Los Angeles, while Matthew Noszka introduces the Rectangle through his intersection of fitness, travel and understated style. Lara Stone gives the Cat Eye its enduring elegance, Alton Masoninfuses the Aviator with his unmistakable presence, and Estelle Chen rounds out the collection in the minimalist Skinny Oval.

Eyewear becomes another way to express the values that have shaped the label from the beginning: movement, confidence, mindfulness and modern design. At a time when luxury increasingly sits at the intersection of fashion and lifestyle, ALO's inaugural sunglasses collection arrives with a clear point of view, grounded in craftsmanship and elevated by a campaign that places perspective at the centre of the conversation.
