Texan artist Yakiyn released new single 'BACKBOARD', an amalgamation of alternative sounds where he fuses his southern roots with futuristic sounds.

Comparing his sound like gumbo, he draws upon hip-hop, R&B, electronic and indie. Yakiyn is a trendsetter within his world that defies boundaries as he moves on from his early days of modelling for Kanye West's Yeezy clothing line. Now in his own direction as a musician, he uses his influences and knack for sonics to pave his own pathway in the underground scene.
