Welcome to EDEN: Inside Aries x Bershka collaboration

The doors to “EDEN” opened on Thursday 16th of April in London, but what unfolded inside felt far removed from the city outside. Hosted at the Aries store, the launch of the Aries x Bershka collaboration set the tone before a single garment was even closely examined. The space pulsed with energy, washed in deep reds and greens, scattered with drinks and small indulgences, and filled with a crowd that looked as though it had stepped straight out of the pages of a fashion editorial.

“EDEN,” a word that evokes paradise, pleasure, and temptation, was more than a title, it was the atmosphere itself. Guests moved through the space as if a constructed dreamscape, one that balanced excess with intention. The set design echoed the collection’s themes with subtle precision: a sensory playground that nodded to desire, identity, and illusion. It wasn’t just the clothes drawing attention, but the world built around them, carefully orchestrated, immersive, and instinctively aligned with Aries’ visual language.

Only after stepping out of that environment does the collection fully settle into focus.

The Aries x Bershka capsule, titled “EDEN,” explores the idea of a fictional paradise, an introspective journey that, on closer inspection, reveals the contradictions of modern life. Consumerism, self-reinvention, and the ongoing search for meaning sit at its core, woven through symbols like the apple and the serpent. It’s a narrative that feels both familiar and quietly unsettling.

Founded by Sofia Prantera, Aries has long occupied a space where streetwear meets cultural commentary, blending classical references with a raw, irreverent edge. This collaboration translates that universe into something accessible without losing its bite.

Visually, the collection moves between contrasts. Preppy codes collide with grunge- playfulness meets something darker and more self-aware. In menswear, jacquard denim sets and mandala-print fleece sit alongside lo-fi graphic knits and striped pieces, creating a wardrobe that feels layered rather than literal. Womenswear leans into tension, printed dresses softened by distressed denim, delicate silhouettes interrupted by rhinestones and sharp detailing.

Throughout, the graphics hold everything together. Hand-drawn elements and references to classical engravings -most notably those of Lucas Cranach- anchor the collection in something more thoughtful than trend-driven design. The palette shifts across ecru, blue, pink, red, black, olive, and lilac, never settling too comfortably in one mood.

The campaign extends this narrative. Shot in Huntington Beach, California, by Ed Templeton, it captures that sense of raw, unfiltered reality he’s known for, youth culture, fleeting moments, and the beauty in imperfection. Styled by Heidi Bivens, whose work on Euphoria redefined contemporary costume design, the imagery balances emotion with edge, grounding the collection in a world that feels both cinematic and lived in.

“EDEN” doesn’t present paradise as something pure or untouched. Instead, it leans into its contradictions. The allure, the excess, the underlying question of what any of it really means. And in doing so, it feels less like an escape and more like a reflection.

The collection launches online for Bershka Members on April 23, followed by a wider release on April 24 in selected stores and on Bershka.com.
