The Wait Is Almost Over For Miraa May’s Debut Album: ‘Tales Of A Miracle’

After releasing her first ever EP on SoundCloud in 2014 titled ‘The Beginning’, which featured fan favourite ‘Are You Down’, Mirra May has stayed nothing but consistent over the past 8 years. Having already released timeless EPs including ‘N15’, ‘Dark’ and ‘Care Package’, the wait is almost over for Mirra May’s Debut album. The Tottenham based artist also isn’t shy of a collaboration as she has joined forces with the likes of JME, Raye, Ghetts, Louis Rei (WSTRN) and that’s just to name a few.

With an abundance of accolades already under her belt , the North London resident is finally set to release her long awaited debut album Tales Of A Miracle on May 27th. If you look closely at both the date and title of the upcoming album, they have a close relation to her name, this attention to detail is a small example of the hard work we can expect from her debut.

Although fans are eager to hear this highly anticipated album, Miraa May has kept her listeners well fed, as she has now released four tracks off of the project including ‘Go Girl' and 'In My Feelings’ both featuring Popstar and friend Raye, as well as ‘Big Woman ft Steff London’. The latest track to be released from the album is ‘Wild Things’, which reflects a few constant themes throughout her music, those being honesty, vulnerability and strength. An artist who is constantly empowering women whether in her personal life or her female peers within the music industry, each track is bound to have the concept of female empowerment throughout and love, both are topics with have seen Miraa excel exceptionally in.

Miraa took to her Instagram last week to explain the meaning behind the track, “This video is for anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence/abuse. This is a personal one for me, I’m not afraid any more. You’ll understand more when you hear the album.” This is such a big statement but shows Miraa’s consistent advocacy for topics that are deeply close to her heart. With 920k monthly listeners on Spotify, the constant support from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra and sold out shows across the UK, Miraa May is here to stay and will continue to make big waves within the UK music scene, as a leading singer and songwriter.
