The Celebration of Women at the centre of Sarah Burton’s new Givenchy Winter Campaign

Sarah Burton’s new Givenchy campaign is about far more than a winter wardrobe. At its heart lies a celebration of women in all their complexity, their individuality, sensuality and femininity, regardless of identity or age. In the campaign, photographed by Juergen Teller, each woman brings an unsparing sense of selfhood to the image.

Shot on location in Croatia against a landscape of steely granite, the Winter 2026 campaign brings the energy of Burton’s runway collection into a new setting. The stark surroundings provide a powerful backdrop for a cast that feels personal to the designer’s vision of Givenchy.

Eva Herzigova, Kaia Gerber, Nyaduola Gabriel and Liu Wen appear alongside French writer and former lawyer Constance Debré. More than simply the faces of the campaign, they are part of the wider creative family that surrounded Burton during fittings at the Givenchy studio and contributed to the collective energy behind the Fall-Winter 2026 show.

Through Teller’s lens, each portrait is grounded in personality. The women are not presented as distant figures but as individuals, each bringing her own presence to the clothes. It is this sense of reality that sits at the center of Burton’s vision.

For Winter 2026, the signatures of the house are brought into sharp focus. Precise tailoring carries a distinct attitude, while the white shirt is reimagined in leather. Draped and textured evening dresses introduce a softer, more sensual dimension, balanced by an explosion of accessories that brings a playful sense of extravagance to the collection.

The campaign reflects the wider world Burton is beginning to shape at Givenchy: one where strength does not come in a single form, and femininity is never defined by one image. Instead, it exists across different ages, identities and expressions.

“There’s a directness about the women in the campaign which speaks to their personality and strength,” Burton says. “I wanted it to be purely about that.”

And that directness is exactly what defines the imagery. Against Croatia’s raw landscape, the clothes do not overpower the women wearing them. They become part of a larger conversation about character, presence and individuality.

With Winter 2026, Sarah Burton continues to establish her own language for Givenchy. One that looks to the house’s codes while placing women, in all their brilliance and reality, firmly at the center.
