Taylah Elaine Steps Beyond The Booth With Her First Chapter As An Artist with 'Look At Me'

After years commanding some of the world’s biggest stages from behind the decks, Taylah Elaine enters a new creative journey with the release of her debut track as an artist. The globally recognised DJ and cultural connector moves beyond her role as a selector to introduce a new side of her artistry. The release signals the beginning of a wider creative journey for Taylah, one that expands her influence from curating moments to creating the soundtrack herself.

Taylah has spent the past several years establishing herself as one of the UK’s most exciting names in music culture. Since launching her career in 2017, she has become a trusted figure across fashion, music and entertainment, performing for leading brands including Miu Miu, Defender and Spotify. Her presence has extended across some of the world’s biggest festivals, with appearances at Lollapalooza, Wireless, Rolling Loud and Glastonbury. Her rise accelerated in 2023 when her Boiler Room Festival: Rap Fantasy set became a viral moment, gaining more than half a million views on YouTube within five days of release.

The single introduces Taylah Elaine's artistic identity through an energetic dance record built for late-night dancefloors and festival crowds alike. Produced by Sammy Soso, the track balances pulsating electronic production with rolling percussion, hypnotic rhythms and euphoric melodic moments that steadily build in intensity. The production carries an infectious momentum, moving effortlessly between underground club influences and a more expansive, crossover sound that reflects Taylah's experience reading audiences across the world.

Adding another dimension is the captivating vocal performance from Imani Lewis, whose smooth delivery glides across the production with confidence and warmth.

Earlier this year, Taylah offered a glimpse into this next phase of her career during an intimate private dinner and listening party at The Standard Hotel in London. Bringing together close collaborators, creatives and industry figures, the evening served as an introduction to the world she has been building beyond DJing. Speaking on her ambitions for the future, Taylah shared her vision to expand her artistry and create music that reflects her experiences, influences and the energy she has spent years cultivating behind the decks.

This new release arrives at a significant point in Taylah’s journey, as she continues to redefine what it means to be a modern music curator. Her ability to move seamlessly between fashion, nightlife and global sound has positioned her as one of the UK’s most dynamic creative forces. With performances at Chasing Summer in Calgary and Maiden Voyage Festival in the UK ahead this summer, Taylah Elaine continues to build momentum across continents.

Now stepping into the spotlight as an artist, she is proving that the person controlling the room can also become the voice that defines it.
