Talent Development Program Future Bubblers Release 'Future Bubblers 5.0'

Coming as an expansion of Gilles Peterson's musical network and the Arts Council England, the talent discovery and development program Future Bubblers unveiled their latest compilation project Future Bubblers 5.0, which features a selection of the most innovative and exciting up and coming artists around the UK. The nine track album is not limited to any particular style, genre or label and instead is an assortment of unsigned talent.

Gilles Peterson and Brownswood Music, as well as support from the PRS foundation, actively seek the freshest talent. The Future Bubblers initiative carefully selects individuals and offers them support, mentorship and advice in stepping into the music industry, as well as helping them develop a track to be part of the compilation album. Future Bubblers exists to push and uplift these musicians to help them exceed their potential.

The nine tracks of Future Bubblers 5.0 weave into genres from alternative hip-hop, electronic, jazz, neo-soul and spoken word. With the opening track by Magoya featuring Ella Knight 'The Most Beautiful Lie' infusing the album with a jazz touch, other tracks such as 'Soft Bodied (Widows Reprise)' by Damos Room incorporate strings and woodwind with industrial sounds, changing the course of the album halfway through. Other tracks such as NEONE the Wonderer's 'Nose Dive' showcases a rap-based and introspective track. Although all tracks demonstrate a variety of sounds, they all similarly envelop the spirit and essence of each individual artist so they can exhibit their best work.

NEONE the Wonderer mentioned that he appreciates the Future Bubblers program and they feel like a family to him. "They treat us like genuine artists and bring forth credible opportunities to further our careers. They also make sure to provide us with as much information as possible to make these opportunities possible ourselves and continue to guide us after the program has completed."

Magoya also said how the help and support in the program was helped them understand the industry better. "I enjoyed meeting and collaborating with talented artists from different musical horizons. It was great to have the support of an established label and program to concretise projects and especially to have the amazing help of Selassie, Amy and Claudia that helped me understand some of the inner workings of the music industry. Having the trust of the Future Bubblers and my mentor was a massive help to go for different musical ideas whilst giving momentum to my releases."

With all artists being paired with a mentor who are tailored to their needs, the program also offers professional opportunities, one-to-one production workshops from Ableton as well as live performances at Future Bubblers showcases. They also receive support throughout the duration of their career.
