Boomtown Announces Two Huge Closing Sets, and Plans For 2027

Boomtown 2027 is already underway, and the line-up even at this early stage is looking incredible. Here is what we know so far.

The legendary Lion's Den stage next summer will be closed by none other than Bicep. An electronic production and DJ duo from Belfast, Bicep produces music which fuses the modern electronic style with something nostalgic to the 1990s. With nods to classic acid house combined with global sounds, it seems like the perfect way to end the festival.

NOISIA, a Dutch electronic music trio from the Netherlands, are pioneers of the heavyweight drum and bass sound. Neurofunk specifically has become their niche, and their highly acclaimed work is evidence for their popularity. Their last UK show was back in 2022, and after reforming the band, they will return to Boomtown in 2027 to close the HYDRO XL stage.

Moving away from music, there has been some exciting developments across the festival. The launch of the The Transportal is sure to save some leg work. Boomtown citizens will have the option of reaching the lofty Hilltop districts via a mysterious new green-powered (and probably also magic-powered) device located up the Hippy Highway, adding both fun to the festival itself as well as a practical solution to its distances.

Finally, the Anara Forest stage will be undergoing a full re-imagining for next year. Despite having little information of what this entails, we are positive it will be incredible.

Following this first taste, the full phase 1 line up announcement will be dropping Thursday 26th November with many more names for Boomtown 2027 being revealed, so one to mark in the diary early.
