SYD Shares New Single FAST CAR Alongside Video

Following her recent single 'Missing Out', released this past February, singer/songwriter, producer, and engineer Syd releases her new feel-good single 'Fast Car' accompanied with a brand-new video directed by Ethan Nelson and Graham Epstein.

As one of the most inspiring and ethereal voices currently, 'Missing Out' marked the singer's first solo release since her critically acclaimed debut album Fin in 2017. Syd has played a pivotal role in not one, but two of the most influential musical groups of the last ten years, starting as a founding member of infamous hip-hop collective Odd Future at the age of 17 to then successfully branching off to form the Grammy-nominated supergroup THE INTERNET.

'Fast Car' represents Syd's unique essence, the song hears her enchanting vocals alongside the groove production which exudes a summer feel. Speaking on the track, Syd said, “I wanted to make something for the gay Black girls. I want them to see themselves in this and in me.”
