Sweet Sounding Vocalist Essosa Delivers Latest Single ‘He’s Not All That’

Singer-songwriter Essosa unveils her second single of the year with the delivery of ‘He’s Not All That’, a sweet and empowering record that once again stabilises Essosa’s rightful position in the R’n’B scene.

Birthed from a risky late night message, ‘He’s Not All That’ gives us all the feels with its airy production and cleverly filled lyrics that paint the familiar picture of romance, mourning and regret, these are emotions that we have all felt at one point in our lives and Essosa relays this perfectly.

“He's Not All That is about reflecting on a relationship that went wrong and realising that he wasn’t even that attractive anyways, it was just proximity. He really probably wasn't your type in the first place. It was inspired by Bay Area hyphy music and Gospel.” - Essosa

‘He’s Not All That’ follows on from Essosa’s dreamy single ‘Touch bby’, this also comes alongside the announcement of her highly anticipated 6-track EP ‘Crush’ out May 1st, a sonically playful collection of songs that feature production from jkarri (PinkPantheress, Nia Archives) and WAVSDNTDIE (Wretch 32, Tiana Major 9 & Benjamin A.D).

Fresh from touring with electronic hit-maker Rochelle Jordan, Essosa has had a blissful few years since being seamlessly injected into the UK R’n’B scene with the success of her viral hit single ‘Waste My Time’, having her vocals recently sampled on Don Toliver’s acclaimed new album Octane for the single ‘A Long Way To Calabasas’ and receiving huge co-signs from the likes of Kaytranada, Kali Uchis and Flo.

Essosa has the voice of an angel and is set for another exceptional year, we are looking forward to hearing new music and everything else that is set to come from the stunning young star!
