Sophie Faith Unveils Enticing New Single ‘Call You’, Featuring Kwaku Asante

Singer songwriter Sophie Faith has unveiled her new single, ‘Call You’ featuring Kwaku Asante, as the first feature from her  forthcoming project,  ‘Hold my Drink, Watch This,’ which will release on November 8th.

‘Call You’ explores the complexities of forbidden love, lust, and the thrill of a toxic relationship—an intoxicating dynamic that ultimately leaves Faith unfulfilled. The track, released under TLD Records, is produced by multi-instrumentalist Fred Cox, a frequent collaborator of Faith’s and executive producer for her upcoming EP. ‘Call You’ is nothing less than an outpouring of collaboration. Crafted from Cox’s home studio in London last year, the track elegantly exhibits the musical synergy between Faith, Asante and Cox, as they come together in  unified harmony, fusing together R&B and Neo-Soul to create the captivating duet.

'Call You,’ is Faith’s fourth single of the year— and following on from singles—’Freudian Slips,’ ‘Dopamine,’ and ‘Missing Me’— the anticipation for her upcoming project, Hold My Drink, Watch This is set to increase.

The track is inspired by Faith’s real life experience of loving someone while being unaware of their living a double life, and experiencing the distress and agony that comes hand in hand with receiving dishonesty. A blend of two enticing voices, the chorus on the track sees Asante and Faith channelling their most raw emotions as they glide over each note, facing each other with a painful and blunt uprightness - “I'm not your only, don't need to pretend”. Despite this harsh truth, the duet sees the two struggle with the realisation that they can't keep away from one another - “It’s so hard to be just friends,” .  Faith balances integrity and sensitivity,  approaching the subject matter of betrayal over intense love with an assured self-regard that reveals itself at the end of the track, where we see Faith making the decision not to receive the toxicity of the relationship any longer.

Following his acclaimed Wanderlust EP, Kwaku has sold a headline show at Village Underground, and shows himself to be a solid rising artist in the UK music scene. 2023 saw a sonical switch in Asante’s music, with the release of ‘Blue Solstice Volume 2’ which followed his highly praised 2021 3-track EP ‘Blue Solstice: Volume 1’

Earlier this year, Faith embarked on her ‘Hold My Drink’ tour that has seen her perform across seven UK locations, resulting in a sold-out show at Lafayette. Having performed at Glastonbury, KOKO, Jazz Café, and supported Odeal at

his headline show at Ludlow Castle, she has only further enhanced her reputation as an artist whose live shows transcend her dynamic discography.

Eager to share her distinctive sonic creations with the world, Faith’s originality and pure passion for music shine through her consistency, despite the resistance she has encountered over her career. ‘Call You’, marks a renewed horizon approaching in the vocalist’s career. After experiencing many highs and lows in her adult life, and finally finding peace and balance in the countryside after leaving London, she continues to graft tirelessly on her craft,  and with the upcoming release of Hold My Drink, Watch This,’,  Faith demonstrates to us once more in her voice an example of true artistry, a journey in which we should all be invested.

‘Call You’ by Sophie Faith featuring Kwaku Asante is available on all platforms now.
