Singer-songwriter Sophia Galaté's new single 'Room In My World'

“You’re sweeter than I’ll ever be”, Singer-songwriter Sophie Galaté remarks in a rich velveteen tone on her newest single 'Room In My World', before she commences to create a feeling of intimacy, and hope singing over a riverbed of emotive piano keys and chords, demonstrating what it means to be an attentive partner, as she adorns and cherishes love worth waiting for.

‘Room In My World’ explores the love that people spend striving for, that encourages softness and vulnerability, the type of love that everybody deserves.

“A song about what I imagine I will feel when I meet my person,” Sophia said. “I can’t wait until I can put a face to the partner I manifested through writing this song. It’s a simple sweet love song that encourages me to open myself up to the idea of love, something I've always struggled with.”

It’s not loud gestures; however, it is consistent and steady, just like the tempo of Sophia’s voice, favouring patience, and something that lingers in the air.

It’s new, and willing to make space for that person to exist in her life now; it’s thrilling but also intimidating. Heartfelt emotions are expressed on ‘Room In My World’ through the sonics of soul and R&B in this timeless ballad. She sings, “For you, I’ll make room in my world/or maybe we could share a room in my world.”

 The track was originally meant for Snoh Aalegra; however, after sharing a short preview on TikTok, the reaction from fans encouraged Sophia to release it herself.
