Sheck Wes seems to have taken a short hiatus from music since the release of his debut project Mudboy back in late 2018. The New York rapper had one of the biggest years last year with his break out hit Mo Bamba and solid follow up records such as Live Sheck Wes Die Sheck Wes and Chippi Chippy.

The young rapper, signed to Travis Scotts music imprint Cactus Jack Records always brings a sporadic and off the cuff energy to his visual presentations and musicality. His distinct sound and easily recognisable adlib are prevalent in this new track YKTS. Sheck Wes usually has a comedic element to his artistry alongside speaking on real events in his life, evident in this song as he raps about how he will protect his mother at all cost to rapping about buying food from popular fast food restaurant Popeyes. In the video, along with his drag racing activities with high power sports cars, Sheck Wes showcases his charismatic energy along with his philanthropic side by giving to the poor.
