Rachel Chinouriri Drifts Closer Towards Stardom With Sun-Kissed Single 'All I Ever Asked'

Drifting further than ever into a lane of her own, London-based singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri ushers in her next phase of artistic development with softly-spoken anthem ‘All I Ever Asked’.

One of the most compelling names in UK music, the singer has made huge steps on the pathway towards stardom, supporting the likes of Sam Fender and Lianne La Havas, and unveiling her critically acclaimed debut project ‘Four° In Winter’ last year, which was supported by the likes of The Guardian, NME and BBC Radio 1.

The new track, released via Atlas Artists Recording/Parlophone, is one of the singer’s most impressive offerings to date. Chinouriri’s gently spellbinding vocal glides across the bittersweet indie-infused instrumental, with the hooky chorus sugarcoated in honeyed harmonies. The Super 8 style music video oozes vibrancy, with a naturalistic and colourful montage of Rachel serenading the streets of LA an ideal accompaniment for the sun-kissed sonics.

Speaking on the single, Rachel commented:

All I Ever Asked’ was inspired by a breakup my friend was going through and it made me reflect on a similar situation I was going through too. The feeling of asking someone you love to respect you in the simplest form and realising it’s the bare minimum. It’s also about realising your own worth and not settling for someone who cannot be what you need.
