Puma Speedcat Celebrates Women in the Fast Lane at a Haute-Coffee Breakfast

The shoe of last summer has returned once again this season for the relaunch of Puma’s Speedcat in ‘Haute Coffee-Frost Ivory’. On Tuesday morning, the brand invited influencers, content creators, stylists and fashion tastemakers in business, wellness and sports to celebrate the shoe and the women who wear it.

The event was hosted by Mercedes Benson, international DJ, digital creative and founder of Powered by Purpose and The Social Fixt, alongside Daisy Morris, the powerhouse behind The Self Hood. The talk was led by questions on the topic of creative career paths, financial difficulties, taking care of our mental wellbeing and how to navigate self doubt, competition and being your own biggest critic. Both speakers were able to involve the Puma community in conversation to share their personal experiences and struggles. We covered tips for being a woman in business, careers in male-dominated spaces, as well as managing social media/ digital roles, from negotiating to forming a community.

Over the fragrance of coffee beans and sweet matcha in Highbury’s Saltine restaurant, the ladies engaged each of the tastemakers in workshop activities that fuelled our thoughts for future missions, a year-long vision board and manifesting the goals we want to achieve in 2025. In a world that moves so fast in real life and online, Puma gave their audience the chance to slow down this morning and brought the lifestyle that keeps us busy back down to basics.

The Speedcat features Dua Lipa in the ‘She Moves Like Us’ initiative, enhancing the product’s message of movement towards purpose, power and progress. Over 25 years later, the Speedcat continues to bring women together in building community and sharing creative ideas. The brown and ivory colourway works perfectly as a midway tone between the bright red standout pair and the classic black suede silhouettes. For this upcoming Spring/Summer, the Speedcat will be the perfect pairing to blue denim looks and effortlessly easy styling in the warmer weather.
