Sinking deeper into an R&B-focused sound, and also love ‘Husband’ is the motion of falling in love with someone for the first time. There’s excitement and nerves, but also infatuation and desire.

These feelings are expertly expressed by Pip, her voice is tender and delicately light, finding a home amongst the early 2000s-inspired instrumental.

However, carrying the lessons taught in part one of the Tell Jimmy ep, she is weary of this newfound affection despite ending part one in a carefree manner.

This release follows her previous single ‘Better’, which was released on COLORS, and signalled a new beginning for the Mancunian.

Not pausing for a second, Pip has also announced that her ep Tell Jimmy will have a follow-up in the form of Tell Jimmy I’m Fine set to be released in June, the phrase was crooned on the last track of the ep.

The second Act picks up right where we were left, documenting the peace and serenity she fought hard to obtain after the events of Tell Jimmy, and the difficulty of maintaining it.

It also sees Pip work with Atlanta’s Mariah the Scientist and artist/producer Jordan Rakei in an effort to explore new sounds and pen new experiences.
