Palace and Vivienne Westwood have teamed up for an exciting collaboration that brings together their mutual appreciation for nonconformity, creativity, and bold, independent style. The collection merges punk-inspired fashion with contemporary streetwear, offering a diverse selection of clothing, accessories, jewellery, and skateboards.
Andreas Kronthaler, Creative Director at Vivienne Westwood, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “I’ve admired Palace for a long time, especially their focus on quality and making fashion accessible to all. Working with them felt like a natural fit, and the process was fun and collaborative. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the team.”
The collection marks Palace’s return to womenswear for the first time since their Palucci range. It takes inspiration from vintage fashion, athletic wear, and both brands' iconic imagery. The designs combine Palace's triangle logo with Westwood's orb, resulting in standout pieces like Gore-Tex jackets, monogrammed denim, and sporty track pants. There’s also a fresh take on some of Westwood’s classics, including a reimagined corset, a fitted leopard-print jacket, and playful lingerie pieces, all embellished with the newly created collaborative emblem.
In terms of accessories, the collection offers a range of bold items, such as oversized teddy bear bags, tartan berets, “horn” beanies, printed socks, and leather goods featuring studded details, as well as eye-catching orb necklaces.
Lev Tanju, co-founder of Palace, spoke about the significance of working with Vivienne Westwood: "This collaboration means the world to us. We’ve always admired Vivienne Westwood, and making this collection was truly a dream come true. We were eager to shoot the campaign in London, a city that both brands call home. Independence is a value we both stand for, and this project really reflects that."
Gareth Skewis, another co-founder of Palace, added: “Vivienne Westwood has been a huge inspiration to us for many years. Their creative vision and ability to constantly evolve have always influenced us. Collaborating with such an iconic British brand is a real honour. This collection reflects our shared values of independent thought and creative freedom, all with a distinctly London vibe.”
As a unique addition, the collaboration will also come with a limited-edition zine, available for free with any in-store purchase. The highly anticipated collection will drop on September 6 in the UK, US, and Europe, with a wider release in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore on September 7.
