Olympia Vitalis Fights Through The 'Daze' In Latest Offering

Soul-singer Olympia Vitalis introduces herself as one of the UK’s most exciting newcomers as she gains agency with ‘Daze’

A cheerfully whimsical collection of bright sounds, it’s a timely offering as we move into Spring, the infectious feel of the backing vocals are supported by a faithful baseline that runs underneath, contrasting nicely with the depth that she as a vocalist brings. The subject matter is also quite heavy.

‘Daze’ is an offering that you simply sink into. Olympia’s distinct voice is divine and something that you surrender to. Smooth and deep, it sashays along the beat, as she expresses the overwhelming-ness she feels in an unhealthy romantic relationship, which leads to powerlessness until she gathers herself.

Speaking on her first single of 2026, Olympia says, “This is a super upbeat, lighthearted song with a pretty sad story. The song starts with me expressing how stuck I feel and my lack of agency in a situation and by the end I’m realising that ‘I can’t keep being’ with them. The theme of agency vs luck being discussed here, taking things into my own hands and removing myself out of a bad situation.

The west Londoner will perform her sold-out headline show at St Pancras Old Church in April, whilst also supporting Common Saints on their upcoming EU/UK tour, performing at the UK’s largest free-music event Limitless Live alongside FLO and others, and performing at Gent Jazz Festival alongside Celeste.

She released her debut EP People Watching in July last year, which was a reflection of Olympia’s sharp observations regarding the lives around her and her own experiences.
