If there were a list for your perfect partner, what would it entail? For Multi-BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominee Olivia Dean, fun, communication, and affection would be her top three.

Arguably one of the enthralling vocalists in the British music scene, and returning with her latest single ‘Man I Need’, Olivia Dean effortlessly combines charm, fit and feel-good energy to manifest the type of love we all deserve.

A signature poppy uptempo instrumental paired with Dean’s gorgeous vocals sees her explore romantic experiences and what happens when love strikes you unexpectedly.

Showcasing her talented songwriting ability, we witness a heartfelt story unfold as Dean sings about late-night dancing and the magic that can occur when introduced to a stranger.

Man I Need is a song about knowing how you deserve to be loved and not being afraid to ask for it. It’s forward, sexy, fun! It’s made for dancing!”, she says, speaking about the song.

There is, however, uncertainty when navigating love, which can be avoided by asking for clarity and clear communication. She sings, “I’d like to think you feel the same way / But I can’t tell eith you sometimes / so baby, let’s get on the same page / stop making me read between the lines.”

The London musician is set to release her second album, The Art of Loving, next month on 26th September, via Capitol Records, which follows up her well-received debut Messy.

The accompanying video, directed by Jake Erland, is seen as a ‘sister-video’ to one of her other singles, 'Nice To Each Other'. Featuring Dean as she makes her way through brightly coloured and vibrant city backdrops on her very own set.

The East Londoner has just finished an extremely successful run of sold-out live shows across North America, culminating in two nights at The Fonda Theatre in LA, treating fans to new material as well as favourites from her debut album, Messy.

She has also supported Sam Fender on his UK headline tour, which still includes dates in Manchester and Edinburgh and will also be joining Sabrina Carpenter in America in October and November, including five sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden after performing with her at her Hyde Park last month.
